Druiven met Berkemeyer

Berkemeyer and Grapes

Made from the wood of an old drawer, this panel measures 24 x 11 cm. The still life shows grapes and a berkemeyer – a heavy, ribbed green glass commonly used in the 17th century. The frame was handcrafted by Gregorslijsten, who also produce frames for original works in the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg.
