Rode Druiven op porselein

Grapes on porcelain

This still life features a 17th-century porcelain plate with red grapes. While everything appears classical, the grapes are striking: they seem to be floating, adding an unexpected twist to the traditional composition.

The frame extends the painting itself, carefully matched to the colors of the grapes, with handmade corner ornaments in white gold, giving the work a modern touch,
despite its classical elements.

It may seem 17th-century at first glance, but the painting and the frame carry a subtle reimagined interpretation that transcends traditional boundaries, while still paying homage to the old masters.
