Jupiter and Io (after Correggio)
In 2006, I created a reconstruction of Jupiter and Io, a painting by Correggio that left a strong impression on me the first time I saw it. I genuinely thought: what an incredibly powerful and compelling work. That admiration sparked the process. I approached the painting through careful technical study, using historical oil techniques and materials, driven by a desire to understand how it was made. The result has the same dimensions as the original.
