Silent

A woman stands motionless, holding a bleeding heart in her hands. Behind her, a halo of 23.75 karat gold leaf radiates gently. Alongside her, delicate narcissi curl quietly — a subtle reference for those who look a little deeper. Though the frame is finished with refined Art Nouveau detailing, the painting itself is raw, almost sculpted with a palette knife. A personal work, born out of the ugliness I sometimes see in the world around me.
