The Pleated Dish

This miniature still life features a pleated dish, a lemon, and two 17th-century glasses. The pleated dish is special due to its vaulted rim and the typical blue decorations that are often seen in classical still lifes. I purchased the dish specifically for this painting at an auction, and it took me considerable time to find the perfect composition and lighting. The result is a refined piece that captures the details with care and precision. The painting is framed with a handmade frame from a renowned framing workshop that also works for museums worldwide.
