Water Nymph

She lies still on her back in the water, her eyes almost closed.  At first glance, she seems peaceful, almost dreaming.  But if you look closer, something feels off.

According to old tales, water nymphs are beautiful and alluring,  but they pull you beneath the surface —  to a place from which you won’t return.

What appears calm and serene is, in truth, dangerous and deadly.
