2009 – Oil paint on panel – 70 x 50 cm

Once, after having worked for a long time with dark and classical tints, I wanted to create a light and serene portrait, with at most contrasts in the face. That effect was strengthened when Paulien sat as a model under the daylight lamps in my atelier.
