Participation in Project Rembrandt 2018 – Finalist
In 2018, I participated in Project Rembrandt, one of the most popular art competitions in the Netherlands, broadcast by NTR. This exciting painting contest led me to the finals, where I finished in second place. This unique experience gave a huge boost to my career and marked a significant milestone in my development as an artist.
During the season, which aired in 2019, I was challenged every two weeks to paint on unknown locations with diverse subjects. For example, I had to paint a portrait of Louis van Gaal in just three hours and later capture a dynamic scene of classical dancers on a boat. These challenges pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me elevate my skills to a higher level.
Participating in Project Rembrandt was intense but incredibly rewarding. It taught me perseverance, creativity under pressure, and provided new inspiration. This experience not only transformed my work as a painter but also strengthened my personal growth.
