Oil on linnen – 40 x 40 cm

I couldn’t resist making another square painting. Somewhat unusual because when do you see square paintings in museums? Somehow we often want to see tension between length and width.
The old 17th century plate is seen from above and actually, another kind of experiment for me.
The frame is handmade with real gold by Gregor’s Lijsten.
